Thailand Golden Triangle TourIn Southeast Asia there is a special region known as the Golden Triangle and Golden Triangle, in English. It is an area that has this geometry and is one of the main areas where it is grown in a legal no opium. It has about 950 000 km2 and covers hillsides in four countries: Burma, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.

Since the 20s of last century is one of the most important areas devoted to opium (the other is in Pakistan), so most of the heroin consumed worldwide comes from here.

While in Thailand the gateway for exploring the region is Chiang Rai, the capital of the province of the same name, north of the country. You can arrive by plane, bus or train but keep in mind which is about 820 km from Bangkok, the capital.

To get around the streets there are tuk-tuks, the classic bikes and some taxi passengers but since there is a big city you can get around on foot. Of course, to go around is to use transport or hire a car with a driver-guide, a motorbike or bicycle.

Within the city there are many beautiful Buddhist temples, larger or smaller and several interesting museums among which are the Museum of Princess Mother (mother devoted to the current king of the country), OUB Kham Museum with real objects and objects thousands of years old and the Art Park and Mae Fah Cukltura is located 5 kilometers and is a complex of beautiful parks and ponds.

If you go in summer you can approach the banks of the Kok River or to walk through their waters. In addition, there are guided tours through the villages of the surrounding hills, waterfalls and hot springs just 15 km away.
